PhoenX is the creative writing and performing face of Phoenix Functions. The first team was Owen Allen, June Perkins, and Liz Hurley, a young local actor. This team design the original framework for social discourse script writing workshop we have called, Out of the Box Theatre, in 2010, which had its debute at the Tablelands Folk Festival, Yungaburra, North Queensland, Australia. As we designed the script writing process as a facilitation of social discourse, we created a script of material that was further workshoped by an acting team including Liz Hurley. The piece called 'Seven Rotations of Risk' was performed as a warm-up for the workshop.I am now able to offer social discourse script and theatre workshops for groups who want to get more deeply behind some of the issues they are trying to solve, in a creative and playful method.
Phoenix Functions would like to hold a list of actors, writers, poets, graphic artists, movie makers, singers, dancers, who might be interested in developing projects for the Far North Queensland Regional community. From this list, potential artists can be contacted for their interest in working on projects. If you would like to be placed on such list, please Email: owen@phoenixfunctions.com.au |
